About the event
We are planting the next 500 trees, starting  on Saturday 25th March and continuing on the Sunday 26th March! For tree planting volunteers, feel free to turn up at 11am and stay a full day or half a day. We will feed you delicious vegan stew or soup, tea and biccies and will be very grateful for all trees planted.Â
After a brief tree planting tutorial at 11, we are also giving a longer talk on what we are doing at Cwm Caredig and the MHOS co-buying enterprise to secure the adjoining smallholding and make the vision of a vegan eco village a reality! (well, more eco-hamlet as we only need a small group to make this happen!)Â
For those interested in buying the farmhouse(s) we will do a tour of the property around midday and we encourage a full land stomp around for those considering joining us, to get to know the land and whether you connect with it. There will be a soup or stew at lunchtime both days and a chance for regular volunteers to park-up or camp, but as management are not staying on site we cannot offer overnight camping to newbies, sorry. We may be able to offer park-up elsewhere so please ask!Â
Bring wellies, a bowl, mug and spoon please! Maybe even a camping chair?Â
Please note all our events are VEGAN, sober and family friendly. Please do not bring meat or dairy onsite if you plan to bring your own food. We are not quite ready for pets yet but please ask if you cannot leave your well behaved dog behind and we will see what we can organise. Limited spaces, so priority will be given to those able to invest or fill forest keeping positions.Â
