About the event

We are opening our gates and welcoming fellow vegans to join us for two days of volunteering, networking, fellowship and connecting with nature at Cwm Caredig AKA Vegan Valley!

Spaces are limited so if you RSVP, we will write to you by email and give you the exact address and directions IF we have spaces by the time you respond! PLEASE DO NOT JUST TURN UP!!! (the map pin on this event is not accurate!). We have very limited parking and as we plan to feed people, you will need to have your place confirmed. For long term vegans, we invite you to bring something delicious to add to a vegan pot luck buffet on Friday or Saturday, but if you are still transitioning, please let us wow you with our fabulous vegan feasting!

There will be a chance to meet the core team, hear all about our plans and do a full walkabout in our beautiful 36 acre valley. We have several stunning meditation spots and two plunge pools so you will be free to wander or commune making it ideal for introverts who need to have regeneration time after each session involving peopling!

You can also check out our facilities for August family glamping and camping and consider the longer term possibilities of creating your own rural enterprise with us (or helping us run our central permaculture farm) and of course explore the possibilites of joining a blossoming intentional community based on kindness.

We can offer wild camping and van park-up for £10 per night, or free if you can help with some farm chores! Single well behaved dogs welcome although all dogs will need to be kept on leads until pooch politics are sorted. Please note that there are large conservation areas where pets aren't allowed, but we also have dedicated dog walks too!

The itinerary will be volunteering and walkabouts all day Friday (please bring your own vegan packed lunch on Friday) followed by a bring and share vegan buffet Friday Night. Saturday, we will do more farming chores in the morning followed by lunch and an opportunity to hear all about our long term plans and ideas. (Shelley will give a talk around 2pm). The afternoon will be for relaxation, forest bathing, meditation, sound healing and fellowship. Weather permitting, we will have a campfire and a singsong Saturday night to end the two days and invite you to bring vegan potluck offerings to share!

If this sounds appealing, be sure to RSVP! We will try to set up car sharing where possible and as we are on the T1 bus route, we encourage you to use public transport where you can please!

Whether you would like to come for the two days or just swing by for a couple of hours on either day, we would love to meet you!
