About the event
We are delighted to announce that we are now taking bookings for people wanting to come and wild camp or glamp at Cwm Caredig this summer! It's been all work and not enough play so far since we bought the land, from barn building to tree planting, so now it's time to have some fun and reap the rewards of our hard work - while also fundraising to buy a tractor!Â
Cwm Caredig is Welsh for Kind Valley, or as we call it - Vegan valley! It's 36 acres of unspoilt valley with streams, pastures and ancient woodland that directly adjoins Brechfa forest so if you love exploring ancient Welsh rainforest that you'll love it! We have been planting up a giant edible food forest and encouraging wildlife and biodiversity so it's great for nature lovers and those keen to learn about agroecological principles of sustainability. We can offer guided tours and talks on the project on request! For those thinking of joining us as a vegan community, it's a wonderful opportunity to cone and see what we're all about!
Fully vegan with areas for kids and pets to camp, and quieter kiddie/pet free zones for those that require sanctuary rather than lots of activities. We will be offering wild camping spots for people with tents, park up spaces for vans and will have three or four glamping opportunities available from a converted Luton tiny home (with a log burner and kitchen!) to a 1970s restored retro caravan and a couple of bell tents with double beds and boho styling ideal for couples!Â
There will be a comedy/open mic night most Saturday nights throughout August, and regular campfires with song and vegan feasting. (Not 11th August when we will be helping run VegOut West - cute vegan festival in Pembrokeshire)
We can offer forest bathing, foraging and nature walks, cold water dipping in one of our two plunge pools (one will be adults only and hopefully next to a sauna/sweat lodge - see other event in July if you want to help buid it!) along with bushcraft, yoga, meditation, sound baths, earthing and more. Â
Cwm Caredig is on the bus route to Carmarthen and we can offer free pick up and drop offs to the train station or bus stop (ten minute walk away) for those of you who plan to use the train to get to us.
Wild camping and park-up rates start from £10 a night and glamping from £50 a night so it's super affordable!
For those wanting a working holiday, we have a volunteer programme that operates year round please email us at info@edenkind.org for all enquiries!Â
PS. You do NOT need to download the WIX app to RSVP, just drop us an email info@edenkind.org and we will take it from there!Â
