Strawbale Barn Rendering
We're going to use strawbales to rebuild our barn walls and would love you help us render them. If it's raining we will do inside the barn and if it's not, we will do the outside!

About the event
Not to be confused with the roundwood barn made by Ty Pren at Cwm Caredig! This is to render the strawbale walls, (as an ecologically friendly and inexpensive way to replace old tin walls) at the barn at Fferm Heulog. If there's anyone around to help unload strawbale delivery and wall erection, give us a shout as we will be doing that in March, as soon as Eden Barn stage two is finished at Cwm Caredig.
The picture is off the internet as an example of the kind of thing we are doing, and not of our project! Feasability of wombled materials and weather permitting but hopefully we can achieve a lot in the second week of school Easter Holidays. Park-up and camping available. Possible accommodation. Children over 12 wil be welcome but it's probaby not suitable for younger?
If it rains, we can work under the roof, and if it's dry we can work outside, so hopefully there will be an average of three hours a day on site throughout the week, longer if it's sunny. No commitment to attend every day required, come for a day or two or the whole week! There's a good chance of campfires and guitar sessions and all volunteers get well fed on delicious planet-conscious food! A definite community supper on the last Saturday and we usually squeeze in a beach trip and a bit of dolphin spotting when people come for a few days!
